The client who was referred to me was only 10years of age and he was suffering from a form of Tourettes. His parents had noticed he was jerking his head a lot and took him to see several consultants/experts. They all diagnosed him with motorised tic disorder’ which is more common than Tourette Syndrome itself. Tics usually start at age 5 or 6 and get worse until age 12 and often improve during adulthood, though some can become untreatable. A tic is a sudden, fast, repeated movement or sound that has no reason or goal.The consultants recommended medication but his parents wanted to find an alternative solution and heard about EFT.
